Who doesn’t like eating biscuit dough from a mixing bowl as a child? However, such dough usually contains a lot of sugar and butter – this is not the best combination to lose weight. For all sweet food lovers who like sweets, high protein and low sugar, this cookie dough is a real substitute.

Anyone who knows me knows that baking is one of my hobbies. I like everything about it.

When I was a little girl, I often baked bread with my mother. However, at this time, my attention is more on the stirring spoon and the cake or biscuit dough left in the kitchen jar than the actual recipe. I like to bite the batter out of the bowl or lick it off the blender before baking.

When I was writing this article, my aunt thought of a warning and shook her finger, “don’t eat so much dough, it will make your stomach ache, una!”

Of course, her warning is not entirely wrong: many cookies and cake dough contain eggs. At birth, they are known risk factors for Salmonella. But even flour that has not undergone any sterilization treatment during the harvest will become dangerous in the unbaked cake paste.

As raw biscuits and cake dough are not only popular with children, but also with adults (we are all children, right?; -), there is now a biscuit dough shop in Berlin.

In the “spooning – cookie dough” bar, you can enjoy delicious dough of different flavors without risk. Because all dough changes have no eggs or baking powder, only heat-treated flour.

From chocolate to nuts to cream – biscuit dough lovers will definitely be in the seventh heaven.

Unfortunately, as delicious as raw biscuit dough, there is a problem. Because even if it doesn’t have eggs and baking powder, it usually contains a lot of butter and sugar. And their calorie content is not low.

Therefore, if you can’t remove your hand from the cake paste and are still trying to build a bikini figure, you shouldn’t miss the following recipe: healthy biscuit dough made of chickpeas!

Chickpeas – allow laughter!

Chickpea biscuit dough and chocolate chips

Because we usually know that chickpeas taste delicious in the form of salad sandwiches or chickpea purees, it is difficult to imagine that they are sweet. However, their wonderful nutty taste and creamy consistency make them ideal for healthy biscuit dough.

In addition, chickpea is not only widely used, but also very healthy. Although they contain a relatively large number of calories, their high fiber content will make you satisfied quickly and for a long time.

They are also ideal protein suppliers, containing about 6 mg of iron per 100 grams. The calcium content of chickpea is about 124 mg, which is roughly the same as that of milk. Vegetarians are also particularly interested.

Their fat content is relatively high in beans and is composed of valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids. They can help balance the fatty acid pattern in the blood.

By the way, the name of chickpeas is not due to the good mood when you eat them: “giggle” comes from the Latin of peas: Cicer (pronunciation: kiker). In ancient highland German, this became the name “kihhira” and now “kicher”.

Chickpea biscuit dough and chocolate chips

The recipe of chickpea cookie dough is very simple and very fast. According to your taste, you can omit or add some ingredients. The foundation is, of course, chickpeas. I use chickpeas that are pre cooked in a jar, but you can also cook them fresh if you like.

Ingredients for cookie dough

  • 1 can of chickpeas (about 225 – 260 g)
  • 3-4 tablespoons xylitol or erythritol
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • A few drops of pretzel seasoning
  • Sugar free chocolate chip

prepare

Rinse chickpeas thoroughly with cold water, remove any loose shells and drain.

Then, use a blender or food processor to mash the chickpeas until there are no more chunks.

Gradually add xylitol or erythritol and cinnamon. Taste between the two to check the sweetness.

Finally, add chocolate chips and pour the hummus dry dough into the bowl. get ready!

Next, chickpea biscuits

If you absolutely don’t like raw biscuit dough, you can easily bake biscuits with some extra ingredients. In addition to the above ingredients, you also need:

  • 1 medium sized ripe banana
  • Almond powder (about 70 – 100g)

Preheat the oven 180 degrees from top to bottom. At the same time, mash the bananas with a fork and mix them with almonds into the hummus dry batter. If the dough is still too thick, you may need to add a little more almond powder. Of course, you can add other ingredients to this recipe, such as chopped peanuts or raisins.

Then divide the dough with a spoon and put it on a baking tray covered with baking paper. Then bake chickpea biscuits in the oven for about 20-25 minutes (depending on the size of the biscuit).

I wish you a good start in the new week and I wish your chickpea recipe a lot of fun!
