I love summer. I like to eat together. If the two get together in the form of a summer party in the evening, I’m actually very happy. If not for calorie capture.

Because although I can eat healthily at home without any problems, at parties, I often plunge into the bread basket and eat from plate to plate like an insatiable caterpillar.

Anyone who has read the last blog post about my nutrition plan knows that I try to avoid eating white flour products in my daily life. That’s why I prefer French baguette and light pasta at parties. It’s no problem at all.

However, there are barbecue parties almost every day in summer. I try to avoid eating white bread and so on, and eat more vegetables and protein. Because my metabolism is very good, but I can’t create miracles.

Zucchini roll with goat cheese

This finger food is not only super easy to make, but also low in carbohydrates, ensuring that it will be popular at every summer party. Come on!

mixed ingredients

  • 2-3 medium-sized zucchini
  • 300g goat cheese
  • 1 small can of ketchup
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation – that’s how it’s done

  1. First, clean the zucchini, and then slice it lengthwise with Mandolin or vegetable peeler.
  2. Then spread it on the kitchen paper, sprinkle a little salt, and let the water soak for about five minutes. At the same time, press the garlic and bake briefly in a coated pan.
  3. Now let the goat cheese drain slightly and carefully cut into long strips.
  4. Pat zucchini slices dry with a paper towel. According to the size, place 2-3 pieces adjacent to each other on the workbench, slightly overlapping.
  5. Spread 1 teaspoon tomato sauce, cover with goat cheese, and sprinkle a little roasted garlic on it. Season with salt and pepper. Then roll up the slices of Zucchini and fix them with a toothpick.
  6. Fry the zucchini roll in a coated pan and / or bake in an aluminum plate on the grill.

This sweet and delicious combination was quickly made. As a light appetizer, it was better than the bread basket.

  • 1 ripe Hami melon
  • 18 pieces of Parma ham


  1. Wash the wax gourd, cut it in half, and remove the seeds.
  2. Then cut it into about 15 columns. Peel each melon piece with a sharp knife.
  3. Now wrap a slice of ham on the melon wedge.
  4. Arrange 4 pieces on each plate, fix with toothpicks if necessary, and then serve.

mixed ingredients

  • 4-6 zucchini
  • 400-500g tomatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 400-500g mixed minced meat
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 100g goat cheese or other cheese
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • salt
  • Pepper in the grinder

Preparation – that’s how it’s done

  1. First, preheat the oven to 180 ° C and heat the top and bottom.
  2. Wash and trim the zucchini, cut it in half lengthwise, scoop it out with a teaspoon, and leave a 0.8 cm thick edge.
  3. Put the remaining zucchini meat into a sieve and squeeze out the liquid. Then cut it up and put it in a bowl.
  4. Then wash the tomatoes, quarter, seeded and diced. Peel and dice onions.
  5. Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the onions until translucent. Meanwhile, peel and chop the garlic. Then take the pot out of the stove and let it cool a little.
  6. Now mix the ground beef with the inside of tomatoes, onions, garlic, thyme and zucchini in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Fill the hollowed out zucchini with the mixture and put it in an oiled casserole. Break the cheese, spread it on the zucchini, and cook in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  8. Take out the finished zucchini from the mold and serve it on the table.
